Hey, Ms. Anderson wrote me with a suggestion about this. It wasn't the answer, unfortunately.
what I'm running: Windows 2003 Web Server Edition, IIS 6.0.
What's happening: When my Frontpage 2002 cliets access the site through a browser, hit 'File', 'Edit with Microsoft Frontpage', the program hangs on an hourglass. Eventually they have to give up and call me.
The only thing that is helping this is restarting the www service on the server. The service is not stopped, or starting, it's in a running state. This is happening fairly frequently. I'm hoping an IIS/Frontpage expert is out there with som
suggestions as to how I find out WHY I need to keep restarting this service. It won't let them get to the authenticatio
dialog box. It hangs on an hourglass after 'edit', 'with Microsoft Frontpage'.
This just started happening after the upgrade to 2003 Web Edition and IIS 6.0
Thanks in advance,
Sand
