FrontPage "Core" or Default Dictionary.

This is rather difficult to describe.

In FrontPage apparently there are two dictionaries.

(1) The "core" or default dictionary.
(2) The CUSTOM.DIC.

My question is how to edit the "core" dictionary to
remove a word like "woebegone" that is in the "core"
but I prefer not to have in the "core"

Here are more details and an example.

When a word is checked by FrontPage for spelling,
it is first checked in the "core" dictionary,
then in CUSTOM.DIC.

Note that "woebegone" must be in the "core" dictionary.
How do I remove the word "woebegone" from the "core"
dictionary.

"woebegone" is not in my CUSTOM.DIC, and I do not want
to add it to nor delete it from my CUSTOM.DIC.

Thank you.

You can't edit the "code" office dictionary.

The "core" dictionary is a set of dll files that can't be edited.
That's why there's the custom file.

It's a word in the dictionary, so why would you want to remove it?

Adjective: woebegone 'wowbi`gón

1.. Worn and broken down by hard use
"a woebegone old shack"
- creaky, decrepit, derelict, flea-bitten, run-down
Affected by or full of grief or woe
"his sorrow...made him look...haggard and...woebegone"
- woeful

I knew that "woebegone" was a "real" word that appears
in several dictionaries, such as,

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=woebegone

But I can envision several situations, where one would
want to remove a word from the "core" dictionary.

So the "custom" dictionary allows me to add a word to
the spell-checking process, but the "core" dictionary
does not allow me to remove a word that's already a
"real" word in the "core" dictionary, and "woebegone"
is a specific example of such a "real" word.

I'd like to hear one.

Just about every 4-letter word I can think of is in the "core"
dictionary.
I have two large websites with young people creating text. They tend
to use some words that I would prefer they not use.

It would be helpful, if I could remove those words from the "core"
dictionary, so those words would be underlined with the wavy red
line by the spell-checker and make it easy for me to check the text.

Is that reasonable?

That sounds reasonable,
-but it is a spelling checker and nothing else

Find another tool for checking for anything else
