FrontPage cant open web's

Hi,

Please can you help me, im tryiny to open our intranet using FP 2003. It
used to work fine for months but now when i go File open web (poin to i:\
drive mapping) all i get is an FP error "Trying to retreive data" FP just
flashes in a contunious loop & never opens the frontpage web.

Any ideas much appreciated as our users need to update there pages.

Sounds like you mapping or connection to the I drive is not working
- can you open I in windows?

Hi Stefan,
My i:\ drive mapping works fine in Windows Explorer.
I have another intranet mapping to j:\ and that opens fine in FP 2003. Its
very odd why it flashes & says trying to retreive data.

1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in C:\WINDOWS\Temp and %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
- in FP 2003 you need to look in the super hidden folder
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache

Hi Stefan,
Thanks for the response. I have tried what you have said on my PC. I've
deleted all these tmp files... it still doesnt want to work sorry !!

Any more ideas.
