Try deleting your FP Temp & web cache files before you open FP
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in C:\WINDOWS\Temp and %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
- in FP 2003 you need to look in the super hidden folder
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
Or use the FP Cleaner from

| Ah, when I ran that in my local it told me that the file in question "does
| not refer to a page or folder in this web," and that it may be a page or
| folder in a subweb (which I don't have) or a badly formed url. The
| recalculation failed. I ran a search again looking for that text string in
| the the files of the web, but like the search for the file itself, it came up
| with nothing. Seems to be on the right track, though . . .
