I am trying to create a website in Frontpage 96 but is getting serious
problems.

Here's what happens
when I enter

1. New Frontpage web
2 Corporate presence wizard
3. A dailog box stating Name and Password required with the supporting
text " this operation requires administrator permission for <root>"

I can't seem to pass the name and password dialog box.

Hoping someone can help.

Final question. When this problem is solved, is it best to upgrade to
fp 2003

Also using MS XP

Where are you trying to do this, on your local machine? If so, which version of Windows XP are you
running?

Thanks very much for your help.

I am actually using Frontpage 98 and not 96 on single computer at home
using Windows xp home edition service pack2. I am trying to save the
website to my hard drive.

Thanks in advance

FP98 was designed to be used with a Personal Web Server (PWS), which is not supported under Windows
XP Home.
