Anyone have any idea when the next version of FP will be
coming out?

Thanks,

Ed

Probably 2006

No, not really.

Best guess is coincident with Longhorn, but nobody seems to know when that
will be. You know the drill: "When it's ready."

Notice how the answers get increasingly more vague as you go down the
list?

"Probably 2006"

"Maybe 2006"

"Possibly next year"

"When it's ready"

Not hard to distinguish the risk takers (Democrats/Liberals) from the
cautious (Republicans/Conservatives) in this group :o)

How about *when ever*
Can't understand the concern from some users. 2003 works great, why wait?
Maybe they prefer the upcoming 2080 version.

If by "risk takers" you mean people who are willing to lead people astray or
state something that is incorrect, I will have to thank you for calling us
"cautious" people "Republicans." Of course, I suppose that would make all
good programmers Republicans. And of course, that must mean that the
Republican party extends beyond the borders of the United States (as this
newsgroup does).

And THAT makes me feel MUCH better! Thank you!

Sorry, Dave..those are the only answers we can provide. And, they are as
accurate as can be.

Kevin: Does that mean you will use only the "red" version of the next FP?
;-)

LOL. Nah, I'll use whatever MS provides. Knowing MS, it will probably be
purple. ;-)
