FrontPage 2002 - banners not showing properly

F

Frank Sviatko

I recently updated from FrontPage 98 to FrontPage 2002.

When I published changes to a website (www.scanz.org.nz)
with a theme using shared borders, the banner at the top
which had previously shown page names in yellow on a
black background showed only the black background, and
the navigation links below it showed only the graphics,
but not the names of the links.

The problem resolved itself when I deleted the web from
the ISP server and republished the complete site.

Then when I published another set of changes, the same
happened.

Does any-one have an asnwer to this?

If you are using NVIDIA Video card this has been reported to be caused by using a graphics driver higher than 30.82 (downloaded from
Windows Update which offers 40.85?)

Other users have reported the rolling back to a specific WHQL certified NVIDIA driver clears the problem.
Download the older drivers, then UNinstall your version through add/remove programs first before installing the new drivers.
The W9x OS drivers are at:
http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=win9x_archive
or for the XP or 2K OS are at:
http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_archive"
In both cases users report rolling back to version 30.82 works to solve the problem

Quoted from another User
"I have all versions of the NVIDIA drivers and have found that all versions after 30.82 will cause this problem (even if they are
WHQL). I did a systematic retro-install of each previous version of the drivers until I got to version 30.82 which fixed the
problem."
