I am creating a new web in FP2000 and after saving several pictures into the
web, I can no longer get the program to save a picture. I insert a pic then
click on it to creat a thumbnail pic. I then save my work and get the
following error message:
"Error occurred accessing your FP web files" I am creating this new web on
my external drive and have been able to save pics up to now. I noticed that
the thumbnail pic is being saved but not the full size pic. I have
researched the internet looking for comments on this problem and have noticed
some talk about Hotfix KB813379 creating this problem. I am using W2000 Pro
with SP4 installed. is this Hotfix included in SP4 and if so could it be the
problem. Suggestion on what to do?

try working with your pictures this way;
in FrontPage with the web in question open, hit file/ import, browse to the
pictures you want to use and select them. click OK and bring them into your
web (and specific folder if necessary), then go about it as you have been.
By bringing the images into the FrontPage web structure before you do
anything with them you'll circumvent a lot of problems.

Randy,
I am receiving the same error message when I try to publish my web to my
external drive. It publishes about 50% of the web and then I receive the
message. I wonder if the problem is related to using the external drive?

Have you tried the usual repairs in the sequence below:
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in C:\WINDOWS\Temp and %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
- in FP 2003 you need to look in the super hidden folder
Also clear your IE Temp files
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
3) Run a Repair on IE
(see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=318378 )
4) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, MS Office and your Video card
(Windows Update and Office Update sites, plus your video card supplier site)
5) Open FP and Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins,
6) Open your FP Web/Site and run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
