FrontPage 2000 - can't open MSWord2002 web page

I want to bring a document that I create in MSWord 2002
into FrontPage 2000 and publish it. So far I haven't been
able to do that. In Word I create a .doc document and
then do a Save As Web page and it is a .htm document.
When I bring the .htm document into FrontPage, it opens
Word. I imagine this is because of a problem with
extensions, but haven't been able to fix it as yet. I am
using Windows 98.
Also I can not bring anything but a Htm/Html document into
FrontPage. Is that how it is suppose to work?

There's actually an option in the Office suite to open the pages in the
Office app that generated them. You should be able to find this in FP under
the Tools | Options dialog and disable it. I can't be more specific as I'm
not on a machine that has FP 2000 on it right now.
