I'm looking for some professional looking themes and templates for Front
Page for my real estate site. It seems there's nothing out there that looks
professional. Any suggestions.

You're absolutely right. Themes and Templates are generally not used by
professionals. FrontPage is, but Themes and Templates are not. Professionals
generally use CSS these days.

There are lots of very professional looking templates out there for FP (third party stuff)...however, templates have a tendency to have that "canned" look.

Design your own...that's really what FP is for you know.

There's a free one on MS Office template site...download it and play around with it...its a good way to learn. I believe there is a real estate one just for you.

Can anyone recommend any books that address what a professional web site
should look like?

The term "Professional looking web site" is subjective, the best option is to visit mainstream web
sites, like:

http://www.microsoft.com
http://www.ibm.com
http://www.adoble.com
http://www.apple.com
http://www.cnn.com
http://www.google.com
http://www.yahoo.com
http://www.aol.com
http://www.netscape.com

etc. and then make your own judgment on whether you feel they are Professional looking web sites.
