Background colors or pictures cannot be printed,
according to Microfosft support. Surely this cannot be
true? I have printed many websites with colored
backgrounds - so there must be a way.
 
In IE, Tools Internet Options Advanced - turn on the printing option

This setting is per browser. You can't control the behavior from your
webpage.

If it's important to print these elements, make sure you provide
instructions to your visitors.
