I seem to be getting this error after trying to publish my site with new
updates. I edited my site with 2 new pictures saved,
went to publish The pictures I am using are stored on my hard drive
I added them like normal.
The website is remote.

Server error cannot rename file name tmp.jpg

any ideas?

Thanks ~ Rabb

Define "added them like normal".

Did you first *import* them into a folder in your web before inserting them
on the page and saving them?

Did you import the image(s) first into FP?

I added them by using the Insert > Picture > From File Menu
The pictures are located in my documents folder
Should I try adding them from my web folders instead?

I tried importing them as you said
and am comming up with the same error. :/

if the original one had the same file name as the one you imported into FP...delete it from FP and IMPORT it again.

then insert it into your page from FP's folder

then for good measure do a Recalculate Hyperlinks before you PUBLISH up to your server.

Let's start from square one.
Delete the image(s) from your local copy in FP.
Then go on line and delete the image(s) manually from the server.

Back locally now...
IMPORT the image File/Import/nameofimagefile.jpg from your computer folder into your image folder in FP.

Now, insert the image into your page design making sure you use the image from the FP folder.

Save page.

Recalculate Hyperlinks

Re-PUBLISH up to your server.

Maybe you should post a URL so we can see whazz happenin' too.

I tried that and I even deleted my whole site and started a new one this
time importing the pictures to the image folder
I'm still getting the error as far as an example link don't have one since I
cannot get my site published due to this error.

Could it be how my files are named? or perhaps the format of the file name?

Thanks
