If your first date is in D1, and your second date is in D2, then this formula:

="From "&TEXT(D1,"m/dd/yy")&" to "&TEXT(D2,"m/dd/yy")&" you have "
&SUMIF(A:A,">="&D1,E:E)-SUMIF(A:A,">"&D2,E:E)&" points."
