From office to home

I have a laptop that I dock at my office. When I undock it and take it home,
the settings are all small and I can't figure out how to change them so that
everything remains the same when I use it as a laptop. The fonts and sizes
are extremely small. Can someone please help me figure out how to fix this?

You mean you cannot change the screen resolution by right-clicking on an
empty area of the background, choosing properties, going to the settings tab
and changing to a lower resolution?

I think it works by doing that, but can't the settings remain the same after
docking and undocking?
