From Database to Word



Hi I have a database containing data that I want to feed to my documents. I
would like to avoid having to establish a connection form the document to my
database trough odbc or ado, so I am thinking of using XML. I have
sql-queries producing the XML files containing the data to be inserted to
the document.



What are the best way to get the XML data into the document.?



(e.g I have an XML document containing information about an employee. I want
to control where the different information is placed in the document. Maybe
in the same way as setting up merging.)

Depends on the version of Word. But it would definitely involve some kind of
programming code...
