"From" Column?

A person at work wants to know if the following is possible.

He saves email messages in the departmental server folder having the ext of
*.msg. He would like to have a "From" column. Is that possible? I tried
everything and no luck. Any other ideas in mind?

I suggested creating a PST personal Folder in the server Folder and use
that. Noticed only one person can have that PST file open at a time. This
is a shared message project which is suppose to have others at the job site
be able to see the email messages.

Thought of the public folder, but he said that's too public, wants to keep
it within the department and not Corp wide.

Using Outlook XP and XP Pro SP1 by the way. Some users may have Win2000 as
the operating system.

Public Folders is the way to go here. He has no argument with "too public"
as you can set permissions on those folders as well.
