The only one in your log that caught my eye was -

R1 - HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMain,Default_Page_URL = http://www.leeman-automatisering.nl/startpagina

I dont think you need it do you?

I also found this Might be worth reading. :)

Hope that helps.

P.S Your using the windows firewall right? As the HijackThis log didn't have one listed. ;)

You are not running the Log from it's own folder ... please do & repost.

You ain't got all the MS updates, and now Firewall is running ... please fix. :thumb:

You have, I take it, installed SpywareBlaster and everything else that we are always suggesting ... ain't you?

;)

ok i'll re run it tomoz when i get a chance, i thought i had all of the updates but i'll check that as well, the MS firewall is running AFAIK but i'll check that as well

oh and Rush i'm running firefox which makes it even weirder, on my other system i have exactly the same settings and programs except i haven't got MS defender yet on this new one which as far as i can tell is the only real difference

ok guys i've had a good look round my system and i think i found the problem, all of the pop ups were from NSIS advertising and after a google search i found that it was as simple as uninstalling the software from the Add/remove programs list, since then its been fine
