Frequent McAfee Updates notification

Hi:
I installed McAfee through my ISP, Comcast.

For the past months, almost every other days, McAfee Updates notification
popping up at bottom right corner with three different choices, 'Update
available, Remind later and Cancel.'

Wonder why so often I'm getting this, annoying notification?
How to get rid of this without any risks?

It's normal. There are a lot of new viruses out each and every day.
Having said that, McAfee is one of the worst anti virus programs out
there. Avast -- the free version -- is better. www.avast.com

Hi,

Open McAfee Internet Security Center. At the bottom, click Configure.
Under Automatic Updates, click Advanced.
Dot "Install the updates automatically and notify me when my services are
updated (recommended). Click Apply then OK. Close the Security Center.

If it was already installed, then I would suggest that you uninstall
everything from McAfee through Add or Remove programs. Reboot. Use Explore
and manually clean your \Temp Folders or Sub-Folders and Files. Run Disk
Cleanup.

Reinstall McAfee after logging into Comcast Security Again. Consider
yourself as a new Customer, because you are installing cleanly.

Get rid of McAfee altogether and substitute a better, free, AV program
(Avast is one).

By doing so, you will not only get rid of the pop-ups, but your machine will
be a bit faster too.
