Why is it that XP will "time-out" my log-in after a few
minutes of inactivity, requiring me to re-imput my
password. How do I extend or delete the timer that
controls this? TIA

Could be your screen saver. In the screen saver setup,
ther is a checkbox "on resume, password protect".

Uncheck this, or increase the screen saver time out.

Thanks! I'll try that.
