freezing everytime i turn on

I recieved an acer aspire sa90 for christmas with windows vista home premium
but this problem is getting on my nerves and has been for a while. The
computer freezes when i turn it on and is totally unresponsive, sometimes the
boot light stays on and doesn't flash other times it just stops flashing
however if i turn the computer off whilst it is frozen or restart it before
it freezes it works perfectly. I have tried everything to get it sorted but I
dont really want to reinstall it using acer erecovery. Can anyone please help
me resolve this? Thanks

What exactly have you tried?

Error message?

What firewall, anti-virus application or security suite is installed?

Do you have more than one antivirus program running?

Have you checked for spyware?

When did the problem begin?

Have you installed any programs?

Have you used a registry cleaner?

Snap. The problem was solved by replacing the motherboard/processor. Acer
sent out an engineer (under warranty) who first replaced the hard drive then
the memory - neither worked. Second visit fixed it by the above. Well done
Acer.
