Freeze during install

i have a relatively new install of xp w sp1
and when i am trying to install either Movie maker 2
or Nero 5.5 I get a hang during install
after the set-up shield step.

Everthing else (except the modem0
works perfectly.

Any thoughts?

Everthing else (except the modem0
works perfectly.

Make sure your temp folders are emptied and make sure you are not
running 59 background apps during the install including your anti-virus
and the Internet.
