Hi,
I want to resize (shrink) a NTFS partition. Could you advise a free utility
that does that?
It's a Win XP system partition.
Thank you.

Thanks. I was googling as well, but there are so many junk sites (for
exemple for pseudo-anti-spywares).

Hope ya found one though....Let me know if ya can which worked well for
ya.....I've used PartitionMagic for years & nothing else..........

I'm just reading the documentation of ntfsresize, which is part of the
linux-ntfs project. It is used by most Linux installation programs, and it
seems to be reliable.

Be careful around here alain. Any mention of the "L" word could result in
you being labelled a troll.

A. Yes it is. It's called "Top Posting" and frowned on by the Usenet
community.
Q. But isn't that backasswards?
A. If their reply comes BEFORE what they are quoting, they probably use
Outlook Express under Windoze.
Q. How can I tell what OS a Usenet poster runs?

Just finished the resizing.
It was incredibly quick.
There was a major problem actually: after resizing the filesystem with
ntfsresize you need to resize the partition with fdisk, and I made a
mistake.
Problem solved, my XP boots alright, but a word of warning: make a backup of
your partition table before changing anything!!!
