Freeware alternative to Keyboard Express?

Is there a freeware alternative to Keyboard Express? I have a licensed copy
of KE2 that is experiencing some technical difficulties, and for the life of
me I can't find the installation proggie for version 2.0 out there anywhere
now that 3.0 has hit the airwaves. I don't want to have to go and buy 3.0
if 2.0 is paid-for but my 2. needs reinstalling...and 2.0's license key
won't work with 3.0

Enough of my whimpering for now. LOL I appreciate any help you can give
me! Thanks, e.t.

What does the product's authors have to say? Surely they would send
you an old v2.0 copy, seeing as you're a valued licensed customer?

That's just basically a "Windows keyboard macro utility", right? And
not even a very good one from what I've read on their website.
Shouldn't be too hard to find one here:

or here:
