I haven't tried this yet, but many folks post here looking for software to
create Adobe type PDF files. Take a look at AcroPAD from
http://www.acropad.com.

Dreamscape AcroPAD is a simple Notepad-like program with PDF
conversion capability and a useful button toolbar (like WordPad or
Microsoft WinWord). The program is completely freeware and doesn't write
any nag on the generated PDF file - use and redistribute it freely!

The exe file is only 300 Kb in size, no runtimes, no dlls, no nags...
just PDF!

Published by Dreamscape. . . so why is it named "AcroPAD"?

rhetorical question. . . ;)

A company named AcroPDF Systems Inc. has an app named AcroPDF:

Program: AcroPDF
Author: AcroPDF Systems Inc.
W: LFW
Ware: (Freeware) v 1

Now I remember why I didn't like this one - it displays the license
agreement everytime you launch the program; and if IIRC an older version
(prior to this release of 1.3.2) may have been the one that put a watermark
on pdf files. can someone correct me on this?

Acropad does have some annoying features:

1. it double spaces my text files
2. it shows an unnecessary screen even though its a batch program
3. if you issue the command without args or perhaps with /? or /h it
should remind you of the arguments but you have to remember them
or go back to the web site

It has potential to be a good no install pdf creator but some of these
annoyances make it less than appealing.
