Free DVD ripping software?

Any recommendations here? I want to be able to rip movies I've
purchased onto my ipod.

it ain't free but it works and I use it for my IPod when I purchased it,
cost was 50 USD
It is very simple to use. Put your dvd in the drive click on the Ipod icon
save it to a folder
and uplink it to your Ipod with Itunes. Oh and it works with Vista.
