Free Anti malware software

Hi there. I dont suppose anyone could tell me if there are any trustworthy free anti malware software packages around?
 
There are several freebies that are quite good (but only in conjunction with a good anti-virus scanner). AdAwareSE and Windows Defender are very good freebie options :)

I tried the free version of this recently and thought it did a good job ,

aSquared Free seems pretty good, particularly as an anti-Trojan.
