Free and simple gif creator/editor ?

Hi !

What do you think is the most simple gif editor ?
According to Pricelessware 2004 the Gimp is the best but
I find it very difficult to install/use ...

For now I'm using "Ms paint" and "Coffee cup GIF Animator 6.2"
because it is realy simple, but Coffee cup isn't freeware.

With Coffee cup you can export existing gifs to individual bmp-files,
edit them in paint and import them to a new gif.
