free agent port assignment

I am messing around with newsreaders other than my default one and I
would like to know if Free Agent allows NNTP port assignment to Port
80? I haven't been able to find that option.

This should be the same for Free Agent (I use paid for Agent):

It's not in the GUI, only in the .INI file. Close Agent and then edit
the .INI file and look under [Servers] for NNTPPort=
Change, save the file, then restart Agent.

I haven't bothered with v3 -- too much dodgy or indifferent feedback

You can always make a backup and use the trial version to find out
yourself. Personally, I'm not regretting the fact that I upgraded. And
people who like multiple e-mailaccounts and personas will probably
like 3.2...

Doubtless there are some benefits in v3 but those you mention
can be achieved in v2 by use of multiple instances, as I do.
My biggest gain was going from v1 to v2.

Cue: net police are sure to pounce again for OT debate ;-)
