Framesets - Why Can Some Controls Cross Borders?

G

Guadala Harry

What is the difference between controls that can cross frame borders and
controls that cannot? I just observed that the list portion of a drop-down
list will extend across the border of a frame, whereas all menu systems I've
seen do not allow for the crossing of frame borders. What determines which
controls can and which cannot cross frames?

Thanks.

I don't know the official explanation but I've read somewhere that the
DropDown control comes from Windows itself and a textbox comes from
Internet Explorer.

It has something to do weith that.
