frames pages

Something has gone wrong.
When I clicked a link, it would open with the rest of the frames in their
original place and the link would open in it's destination frame. For some
strange reason, the pages are now opening in their own window, even though
that isn't the selection. The target frame is self .... not new window.

Does anyone know what's causing this behaviour. No matter what I do, I
can't seem to effect a change.

Correction. I set the pages to rbottom, not self (because "self" made it
open in the same location). When I do a browser preview, it looks fine but
after publishing it ... it's not working fine ... the hyperlinks still open
with the other frames (top and left) gone! Maybe it's a browser issue.

The target value must be set the actual name of the frame that you want the link to open in, _self
would be the same frame that the link is in.

Thomas, this is really strange ... because it was working until tonight (or
certainly until the last month).

Choosing _self does exactly what you say ... it was something I tried but it
didn't work. Choosing, as you say - the name of the frame, isn't a choice
.... do I type the name of the pages. I'm not sure what you mean?

You have to type in the actual name of the frame, so first open the frameset page, then select
frame, then right click and view frame properties to get the exact name.

A incorrect name, will cause the link to open in a new window.

Thanks for the response.
That's what I have. It says it's called rbottom and that's what they are
all named ... the hyperlinked pages, that is. I'm not sure why it isn't
working. Having said that ... I'm at work and just checked. It's fine.
Perhaps it's something with my IE ... it's not displaying the pages correctly
.... and that's wierd.
I look into that component of this a little more closely.
