Frames dropping and popping when rendering DV-AVI back to tape

I have a brand new Dell Dimension XPS 2.8GHz PC with 120GB hard drive.
Installed Movie Maker 2 from the Web. And I have a Sony TRV-22 camera.

When I add titles to my video and then output it back to the DV camera I can
see where the titles are causing dropped frames (It looks almost like a
24-frame "film" effect), along with occasional audible "popping" when the
titles disappear. This frame-dropping does not appear to occur with untitled
video.

Any ideas?

You could save to disc as a wmv file instead of a dv-avi file (it seems that
this bug only affects the save to dv-avi or save to camera functions).
