FP2003 - Excel

with FP2002 I always copy a section of an Excel spreadsheet into WordPad,
then copy that into an FP web page.... in this way I get NONE of the
extra formatting ( like : style="height:13.5pt or x:num="0.38" ).......
just a nice simple table that I can work with.

with FP2003 - I tried exactly the same thing but all I get is the
TEXT that was in the table - not the table with the text inside............

maybe there is an easier way to copy and paste from Excel into FP2003
without getting all-that-junk

Unfortunately the roundtripping code from MS Excel is still a pain to remove, that even the Optimize Html does not clean out

This has been on my wish list of Office enhancements for
some time now: an option to change the default so that all
Paste commands would paste text and structure, but no
formatting. If I want to paste formatting, I'll do a Paste
Special, thank you.

In the meantime, try downloading and insalling the
SuperRemoveFormatting macro from
http://www.interlacken.com/fp2002/newgizmos/default.htm.

Then, select the pasted table, run the macro, and select
the type of formatting you want to remove.

strange that there is a different between 2002 and 2003......

just this ONE "feature" is enough to make
me want to go stay with to FP2002........
