fp2003 causes system shutdown

P

Pam

on windows xp home with newly installed updated Fp 2003 - when trying to
upload changed pages - everything is going smoothly and then all of the
sudden an error box comes up and says:

System Failure - c/windows/system/system32/Isass.exe

Terminated unexpectedly with Status code 1073741819
shutdown initiated by NT authority/system

does anyone know what this means and why it is happening?

It's not FP. You have the sasser worm, and it's a very unpleasant thing.
Also very difficult to remove.

You apparently do not have the most current Windows updates installed, you
don't have an updated anti-virus, and you don't have a firewall enabled.

You need to go to symantec and beging your adventure by downloading the
sasser removal tool, and read this page very carefully:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sasser.removal.tool.html

Good luck.
