fp keeps losing my web

Ever since I got XP, I've been having a problem with FP. I used to use FP
2000, had the following problem, switched to FP 2002, and now I am stuck
again. Here's what happens. When I try to get into my web by going to open,
my network places, www.myweb.com, I get a error box that reads: The folder
http://www.myweb.com/ is no longer available. So, I try deleting it from my
network places, then readding it. This worked for a while. But now, it
doesn't help.

If I go to Open File, then type http://www.myweb.com into the file name
field, often my index page will open up, but my web files still don't appear
in window when I go to Open File again. The do, however appear in the
folder view on the left side. This doesn't always work. Any ideas?

Thanks,
James

Have you tried from FP: File Menu | Open Web, then entering
http://www.myweb.com, then your login info, then click Ok, then click Open ?

You must always have a web open a web first, not a file, before working on
your web content.

Almost! I thought it was going to work. I clicked cancel when I opened FP
and it asked me for login info. Then I went to File Menu, Open Web, then
typed in http://www.myweb.com, then login info. I get all my files in the
file view on the left, but when I go to open, an error box pops up: The
folder
http://www.myweb.com/ is no longer available. Hmmmm. Thanks for the tip
though, it was worth a shot!

Have you contacted your host and ask them to run a check on the extensions
for your account?
