FP 2003 showing false fonts

Is anyone else having trouble with false Arial fonts showing up in FrontPage?
By "false" I mean versions of Arial that are not actually installed in the
computer's font folder. These show up when I right click on selected text in
FP and then choose "format font" from the list.

On the font list that comes up, I find versions of Arial that are not wanted:

Arial (serif)
Arial (fantasy)
Arial (sans serif)

All of these are in addition to the regular Arial fonts (including Arial
Regular) that should be there. Why would anyone want an Arial (serif)? Or
even an Arial (sans serif), since Arial is already sans serif?

The problem is annoying because when I select Arial from the display box, in
Design View, it defaults to Arial (serif), which is actually like Times or
Courier.

If anyone has had this problem, and knows how to modify the FP 2003 font
list to rid it of these fonts, let me know.

Thanks.

Well, I don't fully understand how the problem exists, either. It would seem
that if a font is actually installed it would show in the fonts folder (for
Windows, anyway).

But I've found a way around the problem, thanks to a tip I saw on
WebmasterWorld, after searching (several different times) on the problem.
This works for me, since I almost always use Arial on every page. It
involves changing the basic page template, which sets Arial as the default
font for every new FrontPage page.

Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\PAGES11\
normal.tem\NORMAL.HTM

(Open Normal.HTM in Notepad)

And type this in the head (between the <head> and </head> tag):

<style>
<!--
body { font-family: Arial }
-->
</style>

Save and close the page.

I can still set any text to Times New Roman, etc. by selecting that section
of text, and choosing the font. And I can designate any size text I want
anywhere, as always.

Mainly this changes the defaulting Arial (serif) with the "real Arial" again.

Browse to the fonts folder at C:\Windows\Fonts using Windows Explorer.
Click once on the Fonts folder and wait a few seconds while the right hand window populates.
Then click View and make sure: "Hide Variations" is not checked.
See if the offending font shows. If so, uninstall it.

It won't show there
It is only visible in FP (Form Font Dialog) and it is Bug I reported a while ago
- since it doesn't not cause any crashes it may never be fixed
