FP 2003 problem

Martin Racette

Hi,

I'm having a weird problem, I have installed FP 2003 on my 2 computer, as per
licence, and on the desktop FP works perfectly well, but on my notebook FP
starts, it opens a blank sheet, but it's unusable from there, I can't even click
on any menus and the only way to be able to do anything is CTRL-ALT-DEL to stop
the program

Thank you in Advance

Merci a l'Avance

problem with the laptop maybe, not necessarily Frontpage?
if you press ctrl alt del what does the "status" of the program say (i.e. "Not
responding...." etc) ??

which OS are you using on the Laptop? FP2003 only supports XP/2000.....

The taskmanager reports "Not Responding", and I'm using XP Home with SP1 and all
the other updates done

In Control panel uninstall FP, the turn off all background programs (especially virus scanners) and reinstall it

I have already done that before I asked in this newsgroup. The weird part is
that everything else from the Office 2003 suite work smoothly but FP

Has the notebook ever had the FP2003 or MSO 2003 BETA program on it?
- if so make sure you completely uninstall any BETA
And have you tried a repair on IE - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=318378

After the install review the installation logs (usually in you default Temp folder)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;826511&Product=off2003

Installation problems are usually no cost is if you call MS
- sounds like your OS or system graphics are missing something
