i cannot seem to find the component to do a simple task in 2003. used to have an "ad manager" to allow multiple graphics, each with a different link, rotating. how do i do this in 2003?

The FP Banner Ad Manager, never support more than a single hyperlink for the
entire applet. You will need to add back under the Insert Menu

Tools | Customize | Commands | Insert |

Microsoft has "hidden" this component because they want to
get rid of it. It requires the visitor to have a Java
Virtual Machine installed on their computer, and Microsoft
is trying to get rid of Java (at least on Windows).
Windows XP, for example, no longer comes with a Java
Virtual Machine.

If you nevertheless want to "unhide" the old Banner Ad
Manager component:

1. Choose Option from the Tools menu.
2. Click the Commands tab.
3. Select Insert in the Categories list box, and then
Banner Ad Manager in the Commands list box.
4. In the main FrontPage menu bar, click Insert.
The Insert menu will remain visible even when you
move the mouse away from it.
5. Drag the Banner Ad Manager command from the Customize
dialog box, and drop it wherever you want on the
Insert menu.
6. Close the Customize dialog box.

Or, try one of the procedures described in this article:

Banner Ad Manager Displays Incorrectly

The Banner Ad and Hoover Buttons are depreciated in FP2003 because they both use JAVA
- but you can still find them in the Tool Well
View Toolbars Customize
- find them in the Insert Menu list and drag it to your toolbar
