In class, a website was created in FP 2002. I copied it to disc and then
entered it into my FP 2003 Home Edition but was not able to edit the pages
written. Must I now rewrite the entire project?

No. Just take the copied version, use FrontPage's command File|New Web...
and use the Import Web Wizard to import the web into th3e new web.

Was it copied to a diskette? or burned to a CD?

If a CD, with most burners the files will be converted to Read-Only.
Copy the contents to your hard drive and then reset the read-only
attributes (uncheck). Then see if FP2003 will edit them.
