We are currently running Symantec AV Corporate Edition 8.11 on all of our
workstations. I looked in Outlooks addin list and I did not see an entry
for
SAV. I then disabled SAV's service and sent a test message. The message
body text came through this time. I then reenabled the SAV service and
sent
another test message. That test message had the body text as well. I
tried
restarting Outlook and restarting my computer and still I was unable to
reproduce the missing body text problem. I then went to another
workstation
that we had been using to test this problem and I was unable to reproduce
that problem on that machine either. I am not understanding why we were
able
to reproduce this problem with 100% consistency then it would suddenly go
away. I can understand how maybe me disabling my AV on my machine might
have
done something to shake this problem loose but what about the other
machine
that I had not touched? Any ideas whats going on here?

AVG is known to cause this issue but it also could be caused by other
mail
scanning tools. Disable its integration with Outlook and try again.

One of my users seems to have discovered a bug in Outlook 2007. When
he
forwards a message with a TXT attachment that was marked with high
importance
the recipient of the forward recieves the email with the attachment but
the
message text is missing. We performed the same test with Outlook 2003
and
the message text was NOT stripped out. Has anyone else seen this?
Does
anyone know of a fix for this?
