Hi
My one computer crashed so I transfered everything to a new one. I forgot some templates though so I used the ones I had inserted, took out the info I entered and am trying to make them into new templates. When I try to reenter some of the formulas though it is just displaying the formula in the cell as the info. It is not displaying what I want the formula to show(a figure from another sheet within the workbook)
Thanks for any help.

to be more clear... I put in a formula that should just show a value from another sheet, and it just displays the formula. Even in print preview.

Either you have View Formulas checked in Tools>Options>View or
the cells are pre-formatted as text.

Hit CRTL + `(above TAB key) to toggle Formula View on/off, if that is the
case.

If text cells, select all cells and Format as General then re-enter the
formulas.

For a bunch of formulas a quick way to re-enter them is to select the cells
then Edit>Replace

what: =
with: =

Replace all.

Okay, I got it... those cells were formatted to Text, reformatting to General solved the problem.
Thanks. And thanks to 1/20/04 posted question of Frank Marousek and those who answered.
Aloooha! : )
