formula only calculates when clicked

Formula is in cell, but calculation does not show. When I click in address
bar to see what cells are in the calculation, then click again on cell with
formula - calculation pops into cell. This is happening on multiple files in
different folders
 
Check to make sure that Automatic Calculations is turned on.

TOOLS
OPTIONS
CALCULATION Tab
Check "Automatic"
