formula changing in worsheets

I think this is a users issue but I can not prove it.

Formulas and cell formats are randomly getting altered
within worksheets. This is a large sheet with tons of
formulas.

What can cause cell formats and formulas to change on
their own?

Magic, evil spirits and plain stupidity!
Seriously, look at the cells that are changing to see if they have links to
other files.
