Does anybody have any idea why only one button on my
forms toolbar is active? It's the "Toggle Grid" button
and it works fine, but all other buttons are grayed out
and I can't use any of them. I'm simply trying to insert
a check box.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Guess #1.

Maybe you've grouped a couple of worksheets.

Look at the title bar. Do you see:
Microsoft Excel - book.xls [Group]

If you do, rightclick on a worksheet tab and select "ungroup sheets".

Guess #2.
You protected the worksheet.
(under tools|Protection, do you see "protect sheet" or "unprotect sheet")

Guess #3.

You've shared the workbook.
(Tools|Share Workbook is how you'd toggle that on/off.)

Dave,

Thanks for your reply. However, none of the above are
true and I am at a loss. It IS most definitely SOMETHING
in the file itself and not in the program, because I
found that on a new worksheet the forms options were
perfectly. I'm giving up and going to re-work it on a
new worksheet.

Sherry :-)
