Subform filter creating parameter at open of form.
Have two tables StylePc and Chopsheet. For each StylePC there are many
entries in the Chopsheet. Tables are linked by StylePC.
Form is based on StylePC and has subform Chopsheet. Records are calling up
fine. However, I would like the subform to filter by prechosen Dept ID.
Filter works by tying subform to an ApplyFilter macro, however, I end up with
a paramenter, tblchopsheet.deptid, upon form opening.
I read threw the posts under forms and several questions seemed to hit
close....however I have NO visual basic experience and the
answers/suggestions were greek to me.
I wonder if my issue doesn't stem from the fact that there is no DEPTID
field in the STYLEPC table. Or maybe I'm completely off base. I apologize
for any idiocy here, I've come pretty far with access and have no trouble
with macros....but I'm at a loss here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
