Forms in Word

Help. I'm trying to use the IF field in a form... so that one item is chosen
from a Dropdown formfield, another field responds according to the item
selected in the first field.
eg Dropdown field A contains three town names, (Southampton, Portsmouth and
Winchester) if Southampton is selected I want field B to display SO41, if
Portsmouth is selected I want field B to display PO52.... etc etc

Thanks Graham... I've been trying to just use text , but autotext would also
be ok... but am having trouble with the syntax. can you advise? Viv

If you mean the fields, then note that the field boundaries {} are inserted
with CTRL+F9 and are not typed from the keyboard?
If not, what exactly are you having problems with?
