Forms close very slowly

Access 2007

Our main form, which has a recordset from a query with 4 tables, about 7
subforms, about 8 combo's takes about 30 seconds to close. There is no
OnClose, or OnUnload code.

Even closing a simple form bound to a single table can take 15-20 seconds.

Any thoughts how to speed this up?

A little more...

Per this article:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/com...ffice-access&lang=en&cr=US&sloc=en-us&m=1&p=1

I've applied this hotfix on my machine (the only one here with the full
version of Access 2007, all others use Access Runtime)
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943249/en-us

On my machine, this worked great. My forms are now closing in under 1
second, whereas they used to take 25-30 seconds to close.

However, I'm having trouble applying this hotfix to the other machines. They
generally have Office 2003, with Access Runtime 2007.

When I attempt to apply this hotfix, I get the error message "setup has
detected that the service pack version of this system is newer than the
update you are applying"

Any ideas how I can work around this? Those machines that theoretically have
a more recent update still have the 25-30 seconds form closing times.
