I do know that you delete contacts from the contact list.
However deleting contacts from the recipient list drop down box which is
activated
when you click on "to"in a new email is another matter.I am left with a list
of ünknowns"when I go into properties and delete the details of the
recipient. This is in windows mail vista business.Never had any problem doing
it in XP.However when checking the contact list(address book) there are no
ünknowns"" in that.Very frustrating.

Windows Mail doesn't use the contacts list when completing addresses.
Instead, it uses a separate list of the last 29 addresses you sent messages
to. This list is very hard to edit; it's easier just to send messages to
the
29 addresses you want on this list.

If you'd rather use the contacts list, start a new message as usual, except
don't type any part of the address. Instead, click on To:.
