format depending on your situation.



Tell us what version of windows you have now. And what will you install back
on drive after it has been formatted. Is windows installed on it? Or maybe
someone gave you a drive and you want to prepare it for your use.

xp mate and need to put xp back on

When you install XP, you will be given the option to format the drive and
clean install the OS.
