Formatting - ?

Trying to format a floppy in the A drive under XP Home, keep getting
message: Windows cannot format this drive. Quit any programs that
are using this drive, and make sure that no window is displaying the
contents of this drive.

Near as I can tell, I'm ok on both of these conditions. Any idea why
it won't format?

Hi Steve,

Check that your antivirus program settings for this drive are disabled. It
may be trying to actively scan any inserted floppies.
