I'm having a tough time trying to do the following:

(1) Start my computer from scratch and format C drive completely
(2) Reinstall Windows XP.

I have an LG LW65 computer that came with an OEM Recovery Disk. I use that
to boot, and it will run me through the Windows XP setup, but it's never
giving me an option to actually reformat the drive then reinstall
Windows...so far it's given me 4 different installations of XP.

I can't reformat the drive otherwise because I'm currently using
it....anyone got any suggestions ? My other option is to go to Harvey
Norman's (Australian computer store) and get them to help....

Try deleting the primary partion in Windows set up. After that when you go
to install again it should ask if you want to format the unpartioned space.

make sure that all of your disks are in order like your book says
make sure when you start your computer your disc drive starts before your c
drive.
insert first disc, shut off computer, and then turn on again.
and than follow the directions on the book had it happen to me because of a
virus
